COURSE DESCRIPTION

This is a knowledge-based qualification which aims to help learners develop the knowledge required to work in the hospitality industry in food and beverage environments, such as in a restaurant, hotel,café or bar.

Learners will develop an understanding of areas such as safe and hygienic working practices, effective team work, giving customers a positive impression and food safety and they will also have the opportunity to specialise in skills such as providing a silver service, preparing and serving cocktails, maintaining cellars and kegs and dealing with customers across a language divide.
