Akademi Dalam Industri (ADi) / SLDN Programme
The ADi programme has been introduced to replace the SLDN programme.
This new structure was developed by the Department of Skills Development (JPK) to strengthen the implementation of industry-based training in Malaysia. While SLDN focused heavily on workplace learning, the ADi programme introduces a more flexible and industry-driven model that better aligns with current employment trends, industry needs, and national workforce development goals.
Under ADi, training is now divided into two categories — ADi Apprenticeship (Perantisan)and ADi Employment (Pekerjaan) — allowing both job seekers and existing employees to gain structured skills certification or recognition through a combination of classroom learning and practical workplace training. The programme also standardises registration fees, introduces clearer guidelines for accreditation, and expands opportunities for industries to collaborate directly with training providers.
